The mission of CBA Speech Therapy is to strengthen the child’s innate speech, language, and communication development within one’s natural environment. This is made possible through fun, natural, and child-led play. Speech therapy sessions will coincide with, and aim to support, the family and/or caregiver’s daily routines, schedules, and happenings.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) aims to be a guide and In addition to directly serving the child and their communication wants and needs, parents/caregivers will be coached by SLP; using easy, evidence-based methods to help with the carryover and generalization of skills between sessions and beyond.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work with parents, caregivers, and families to recognize and adapt to their own individual learning styles in support of the learning goals stated in the IFSP. Therapy services will be provided in the child’s primary language/s (English and/or Spanish).  The SLP will connect with parents and caregivers to better learn how to engage, recognize communication cues, and build upon their child’s communication level.

“Katy provided the reassurance and guidance my family needed as we navigated my son's speech challenges. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a calm and comforting presence. She took the time to get to know all of us and gave us helpful tools that we still utilize every day. More importantly she gave our family hope and helped us view our situation in a more optimistic way."  -Amanda B
